Queen Dániel Héderváry serves the crown of the Kingdom of Clubs. He was married to King Anya to keep diplomatic relationships with the Kingdom of Diamonds intact.

In his true Kingdom

Dániel Héderváry was born in the Kingdom of Diamonds. He is the first cousin of the current King of Diamonds. The two grew up together in the service of the Kingdom. The king was usually busy with her studies. It was a both a burden and a blessing for her. He never liked going into military training, so he opted to stay with his cousin and support her in everything he can. He learned how to cook for her. He enjoyed learning different recipes as a child.

Riding his horse Gabriel was the most fun he'd have in the kingdom. When her cousin needed it, he rode his horse to deliver packages or letters, to all parts of the kingdom. He did this cautiously, as ordered.

His cousin was always well-dressed and well-groomed. She had a great influence on him. He became more conscious about his behavior in front of others. He always made sure he dressed properly for the occasion and wore the finest clothes. He walked, talked and moved like a monarch would, to complement her cousin and their bloodline.

He never had dreams of grandeur. He preferred standing in the shadow of her cousin. He was never meant to rule.

Departure

Rumors of an impending invasion was rampant across the Kingdom of Diamonds. The Kingdom of Clubs wanted to seize their kingdom's resources and money. They had the best weapon, and the most man power, but it was not sufficient to win a war. They'd need the military power of the Kingdom of Hearts to win.

The King's counsel hounded her for a solution. They were both just 12 years old. She didn't know how to fight a war. She'd read books about it, but the reality was far from that. Daniel knew nothing about fighting wars as well. He was good with man to man combat, but wars were out of his league. The king's father was in his death bed. He was too weak to fight.

An old member of the counsel then spoke to their family. Apparently, the current King of Clubs had a daughter who was next in succession. All she needed was a suitable Queen. The King of Diamonds had no other siblings to offer for marriage. So they all turned to him. To help his family, to help his cousin, and to help the kingdom, Daniel agreed to the proposed marriage.

Because of this, the Kingdom was spared.

Life of a Queen

Almost a decade has past since he was wed to the child of clubs. His life was so different from what he was accustomed to. From hordes of servants, he was left with at most two. The Kingdom was very cold, unlike the warm perfect weather he was used to. Aside from this, he had to grow accustomed to a poorer lifestyle. It was a stark difference from the regal, bountiful and exquisite lifestyle he had at Diamonds.

It's been years since he had married the King, but he has never touched her even once. She was innocent on most days. But her rule was far from her cousin's rule. There was something about her that scared him. It was an unpleasant heavy feeling. It wasn't only him, most of the kingdom felt the same way.

He serves the Kingdom of Clubs now. So he does his best to get along with everyone. But in his heart, he only served one kingdom. And that was the kingdom of his beloved cousin, francaisprincesse
